Ava DuVernay and Autumn Riley

Ava DuVernay, born August 24, 1972, in Long Beach California. DuVernay was introduced to the arts from her aunt Denise. Aunt Denise worked during the night shifts as a nursing assistant, so she could pursue her love for art literature and theater throughout the day. DuVernay loved the film West Side Story, which she showed her. DuVernay realized after watching her mother's example that art can be an instrument for activism. DuVernay was also taught by her mother, who was a social sassy and encouraged DuVernay to show her creativity through art. DuVernay was raised together with her parents in Compton, spent each summer in Lowndes County Alabama in the family home of her father. DuVernay's dad recalled the civil rights marches on the Edmund Pettus Bridge and the nearby town of Selma, Alabama. DuVernay toured Selma in the summer and was motivated to make a documentary on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. DuVernay graduated with a graduation certificate from Saint Joseph High School, Lakewood California in 1990. In 1990, she graduated from the Saint Joseph High School located in Lakewood, California. DuVernay began producing television news as an elementary school student. DuVernay began her career as an intern with CBS News during the O.J. Simpson trial. DuVernay remembered being told to examine the garbage of the home of a juror. Her tasks to complete left her unhappy and, following her decision not to continue in the field of journalism, she was able to move to the world of publicity. DuVernay was offered a job straight out college, as a new publicist at a studio. The company she founded for her own PR, The DuVernay Agency was created in 1999. The company launched a number of promotional and lifestyle networks which include Urban Beauty Collective and Urban Eye. Autumn Riley.............................Autumn Riley was born in Los Angeles United States. Autumn Riley was born under the zodiac sign of. She is famous for her roles in American Experience, (1987) A More Perfect Union and A More Perfect Union (2009).
